Author Guideline

International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (IJSSH)

Format

  • Language: British English or Arabic

  • Word Limit: Maximum 7,500 words (excluding references)

  • Title: Up to 50 words, capitalized, centered, bold, Times New Roman, 14 pt

  • Main Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Abstract: Maximum 750 words

  • References: APA style

  • Layout: Single-sided, one column, single-spaced

Manuscript Structure

Authors may structure manuscripts according to their research design and findings. Common sections include:

  • Title

  • Author Information

  • Abstract

  • Keywords (3–5)

  • Introduction

  • Methods

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • References

Flexibility is allowed to accommodate disciplinary requirements.

Title

  • Maximum 50 words

  • Capitalized, centered, bold, Times New Roman, 14 pt

Authorship

  • Provide full names of all authors

  • List institutional/organizational affiliations

  • Corresponding author must include an email address and ORCID iD

Abstract

Use a structured format where possible:

  • Background/Objectives

  • Methods

  • Results

  • Conclusion

Keywords

  • 3 to 5 terms

  • Should reflect the core themes of the study

Tables and Figures

  • Insert within the text at relevant points

  • Fonts: Times New Roman, 10 pt (English); Traditional Arabic, 12 pt (Arabic)

  • Ensure high quality and readability

  • Microsoft Office figures: submit in original format

  • Other figures: JPEG, minimum 300 dpi

  • Editors may request revisions for clarity and quality

Acknowledgments

  • Limit to scientific, financial, and technical support

  • Exclude routine or secretarial assistance

Conflict of Interest

All submissions must contain a statement. If none, use:
“The authors declare no conflicts of interest related to this study.”

Publication Ethics

  • IJSSH monitors for plagiarism, duplicate submissions, data/image manipulation, and authorship disputes

  • Cases are handled in line with COPE guidelines

Language Editing

  • Optional but recommended if needed

  • Use of editing services does not guarantee acceptance

  • All manuscripts undergo peer review

References

  • Must follow APA style

  • Use of reference managers (e.g., Mendeley) encouraged

  • In-text citations must comply with APA standards
